Does a Chevrolet Impala have a manual transmission?

Are Chevrolet Impalas manual or automatic? My dad is finally getting his dream car and he said I could have his daily driver. I do know how to drive a manual transmission but I’m really bad at it, so I’m hoping that my dad’s old Impala will be an automatic.

Actually, the
Chevrolet Impala
has been manufactured with both manual and automatic transmissions, so your dad’s Chevy might have either transmission type. The newer the Impala is, the more likely that the transmission is automatic.
All Impala transmissions from 2010 and later will be automatic, but models manufactured before 2010 could be either automatic or manual. You’ll need to check the owner’s manual of your dad’s old car to know for sure— or just take a look inside to see if it’s equipped with a gearshift!
