Does a car insurance policy for Mexico provide the same coverage as my Progressive policy?

I'm currently insured with Progressive and I'm driving to Mexico. I already know that I need a separate policy. Will the coverage be the same as my U.S. policy or is it different?

Progressive
offers a few different options for car insurance while you’re in Mexico. The three types of coverage levels available are:
  • Basic coverage is similar to a
    liability only car insurance
policy in the US. It also includes medical payments, travel assistance, and legal assistance. Progressive recommends this for short trips and older vehicles.
  • Standard coverage includes all of Basic’s coverage along with
    collision insurance
    and theft.
  • Extended is the highest level of coverage. It includes all of Basic and Standard coverage along with vandalism, partial theft, coverage to repair your vehicle in the US, and set deductibles. This would be the closest coverage to a full coverage policy in the US.
