Does a 2010 Chevy Malibu have Bluetooth?

I’m looking to buy a Chevy Malibu, but I need it to have Bluetooth capabilities. Was Bluetooth available on the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu?

Yes, the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was available with Bluetooth connectivity, but it was not standard on all 2010 Malibu models.
General Motors was slow on the uptake when it came to Bluetooth. All GM brands, including GMC, Buick, Cadillac, and Chevrolet were without Bluetooth until 2009, when the company made a sweeping change and added the technology to over 30 models, including the Malibu.
The 2010 Chevy Malibu came in four trim levels—LS, 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ. Only the 2LT and LTZ were equipped with standard Bluetooth capabilities.
If your 2010 Malibu doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity, or if your Malibu is older than 2009, don’t worry—you can still add a Bluetooth connection.
Here are your options:
While an aftermarket stereo will offer better sound than a Bluetooth speaker, the speaker can be purchased for under $50, so it’s definitely the more affordable of the two. But, the Bluetooth adapter is even cheaper, with many coming in under $30. Plus, they use your current sound system speakers so you’ll get decent sound, and they’re portable so you can use them in any vehicle you drive.
Of course, all new 2023 Chevy Malibus come equipped with standard Bluetooth connectivity as well as a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capabilities. So if you plan on getting a new Chevy Malibu, you won’t have to worry about any of that.
