Does a 2008 Chevy Silverado have Bluetooth?
I bought an old 2008 Chevy Silverado for a rugged errand runner, and I’m wondering if I can get my phone to pair with it. It’s not a huge concern, as this is more of a utilitarian vehicle. But if I can, I’d like to—do you know if the 2008 Silverado has Bluetooth?

It seems like this should be an easy answer, but it’s difficult to say! The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado may or may not have Bluetooth. To say that there’s some mixed information is putting it lightly—some sources vehemently claim that no 2008 Silverados have Bluetooth, and some say that certain versions do.
The Chevy Silverado comes in a wide variety of configurations, so maybe that’s where some of the confusion lies. A good place to check if your particular model of the 2008 Silverado has Bluetooth is your owner’s manual. Or, you can try pressing the Phone icon on your touchscreen and see if an option comes up to add your phone or pair a device through Bluetooth.
At any rate, even if your 2008 Silverado doesn’t have Bluetooth, there are still options! You can get a new Bluetooth-enabled stereo installed, or you can get an aftermarket Bluetooth adapter that will work with the Silverado’s stereo.
