Does a 2006 Ford F150 have Bluetooth?

My parents just gifted me my dad’s old pickup and I’m trying to figure out how to set up the Bluetooth. Does a 2006 Ford F150 have Bluetooth?

As the new owner of a
Ford F150
, you’ve got a great ride to enjoy! Unfortunately, though, the 2006 Ford F150 does not have Bluetooth connectivity. You are sadly one year off! Ford didn’t introduce Bluetooth to its pickup line until the 2007 model year.
That doesn’t mean you have to forgo all the convenience of Bluetooth technology, though. You can still
add a Bluetooth adapter
to get the benefits of hands-free calls and music streaming. These small devices are fairly inexpensive (as little as $6!) and enable Bluetooth connectivity for older vehicles via the cassette player or auxiliary jack.
Installation is easy. All you have to do is plug the Bluetooth adapter into your Ford’s infotainment system, pair your phone to the adapter via Bluetooth, and you’re ready to stream your music and make hands-free calls.
However, before you head out and blast your tunes, ensure that you make use of
safe driving tips
because Bluetooth doesn’t completely eliminate distractions. You wouldn’t want to get ticketed for
distracted driving
in your new-to-you pickup!
