Does $250 a month seem expensive for car insurance on a 2007 Honda Civic in New Hampshire?

I am 20 years old and my dad is listed as the named insured on my policy. I am an additional driver and have completed driving school. I know people who pay a lot less. Am I paying too much?

Car insurance carriers look at a multitude of factors when rating a policy. Your age, the age of your vehicle, driving history, prior insurance carriers, address, and accidents can all factor into the premiums carriers charge.
The type of coverage that is on your vehicle can also increase your rate. A vehicle with comprehensive coverage and collision coverage is always going to cost more than a vehicle with only liability insurance.
If you want cheap car insurance, you will have to shop around with other carriers to see if you currently have the best rate.
