Do you have to have 50 hours of driving?

I don’t actually have to get 50 hours of driving before I can get my license, do I? It’s going to take forever to get that many hours because my parents are never free to drive with me!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having difficulty getting your hours in! In some states, it is a legal requirement that you have 50 hours of driving under your belt before you’re granted a new license.
While it’s difficult for the DMV to know whether or not you’ve actually completed your driving hours as you claim, it’s a good idea regardless to get 50 hours of driving or more before applying for a full license. This gives you time to master the driving task and become a
safe driver
so that you’ll perform better on your exam.
While you’re learning about your license options, consider learning about your insurance options, too. It’s easy when you use the
