Do Tesla electric cars have heaters?

I don't know much about cars, but I know that a regular vehicle heats the cabin with the heat from the engine. Tesla's don't have an engine, but do their electric cars have heaters?

Great observation. Tesla
electric cars
have heaters; they just get their heat from a different source.
As you mentioned, a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) produces a lot of heat, which warms the vehicle’s cabin. But, the ICE also creates significant amounts of waste. As we move towards a cleaner environment, we must find ways to reduce waste and its impact on our environment.
Tesla has become a front runner in this area. In the Model Y, Tesla has added a heat pump to provide heat to the cabin. This EV takes the heat produced from the infotainment unit, battery, and drive unit to heat the cabin. This is a zero-waste solution.
A few other features allow drivers to use the heating systems efficiently, such as:
  • Smart use of the heating systems
  • Take advantage of seat heaters
  • Sunroof
  • Interior insulation
