Do rest stops have charging stations for electric cars?
I have been thinking about getting an electric car, but I do have to travel somewhat often for work and I’ve heard that electric cars are not great for long distances. Would I be able to charge my electric car at places like highway rest stops?

rest stops are maintained by the Federal Highway Administration and have very strict limitations as to what can be sold on rest stop ground. In fact, it’s so limited that the only commerce allowed at interstate rest stops are: vending machines, lottery tickets, and local tourism promotions. While you won’t be able to charge your car at a highway rest stop, a recent infrastructure bill has plans to put $5 billion into setting up electric car chargers nationwide in spots that will be as close to the highway system and highway corridors as possible.
