Do online car insurance companies offer good insurance policies?

I've seen a lot of smaller, internet-based insurance companies. I think some of them could be considered start-ups. Are their policies good? Am I getting scammed if I sign up for insurance through one?

“Although they are smaller and less well known, online
car insurance companies
are perfectly safe and have good policies!
An insurance company’s size or location doesn’t make it any less reputable in most cases. All states have insurance regulations that every company selling insurance must follow. If a company doesn’t, they could lose their license in that state. However, you should definitely check reviews to make sure they don’t delay payouts or provide poor customer service.
It’s important to read over your policy terms and conditions before signing a contract. If you aren’t aware of the coverages included or the rate you’re being charged, you could end up with a policy that isn’t right for you. Being aware of what you’re buying is the first way to avoid being scammed by any company, whether it’s online or not.
