Do I need to tell my insurance company about the modifications I made to my van?

Do I need to tell my insurance company? I made some DIY changes to an old van I bought to include a raised sleeping area and storage space. I don't live in it and the most I'd use it is for one or two overnight trips.

“Any modifications you make to your vehicle you’ll want to report to your car insurance company.
If you fail to report changes, your insurance company could deny coverage when you want to make a claim.
Depending on the changes you’ve made, you may qualify for class B motorhome insurance (campervan insurance). Talk to your insurance company to see what types of coverage will work best for your situation.
