Do I need a police report to file a claim after backing into a concrete barrier?

My deductible is $100 and the repair will cost about $920. Should I file a claim, and do I need a police report to do so?

Since this incident only involves one vehicle, a police report may not be necessary to make a

claim.
As for whether you should file a claim, that’s ultimately up to you. But if you can afford to pay for the $920 repair out-of-pocket, you should consider doing so. Making a claim will raise your premium for a few years, and given the relatively low cost to fix your car, paying out-of-pocket may save you money in the long run.
