No, you don’t need to use an exact 2015 Acura TLX OEM battery. You’ll just need to make sure that you pick out a replacement battery that meets all of the same specifications and requirements for size and amperage.

The SH-AWD trim levels, for instance, use batteries in the size group H6. Standard trim levels, on the other hand, use batteries in the size group 35.
On top of size, you’ll want to have a battery that can deliver adequate power. It should have at least 600 CCA—though it’s a good idea to have closer to 750-800 CCA if you can manage it.
