Do I get a refund on any unused health insurance?
Will I get a refund on my health insurance since I didn't have an opportunity to use it yet? I started a job with benefits at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, I was laid off last week and didn't have a chance to go to the doctor yet.

Sadly you do not get a refund on your health insurance payments and the coverage usually ends on your last day of employment.
You should be getting the option to purchase COBRA insurance through the mail.
If this option is out of your price range, you can apply for insurance coverage through the marketplace. All the information on how to apply can be found at
www.healthcare.gov
