Do I automatically have title insurance on my home?
I’m buying my first house and keep seeing information about title insurance. Is title insurance automatically included with my homeowners policy or do I need to purchase it separately?

Buying your first home is so exciting! You are correct that you will need title insurance, but you don’t automatically have title insurance on your home.
In the majority of cases, you will buy title insurance when you get your mortgage. You’ll need to pay for title insurance that covers both you as a homeowner and your mortgage lender. When you purchase title insurance, you’ll be protected from:
