Do high beams and low beams use the same bulb?
My high beams on my vehicle aren’t as bright as they used to be, and I’m guessing the bulb is going bad and needs to be replaced. But I don’t know if I need to buy just one bulb, or if I’ll need more than one. Do high beams and low beams use the same bulb? Do I need to replace both or just the high beams?

- Single filament bulbs: These have two settings, “on” or “off.” In vehicles that use single filament bulbs, each headlight would have two – one for the low beams, and one for high beams.
- Dual filament bulbs: These bulbs have three settings, “low,” “high,” and “off.” With one bulb, you get low and high beams.
