Do experts recommend bundling home and auto insurance?

I'm a first-time home buyer and I will need a home insurance policy. My car insurance company offers home insurance, and I've heard it can be cheaper to bundle policies rather than get two separate ones. Should I bundle my policies?

“Congratulations on your first home! In most situations, experts recommend
bundling your home and auto insurance
to save money.
As most
car insurance companies
offer different types of insurance, most will offer a multi-policy discount when you bundle two or more policies. This can provide you with a significant amount of savings. You may also receive an additional discount for remaining loyal to the same company.
Another perk of bundling is that you have easy access to both your policies. Most companies will combine your policies to give you access under one account. You may also only have to pay one bill.
While there are benefits to bundling, you should still shop around before doing so. In some cases, you may actually save more money by having policies with two separate companies. Compare home insurance rates with a few companies, along with your current insurance, to determine what the best rate for you will be.
