Do electric cars have to pay for parking?
I’ve been thinking about finally buying an electric car, but to be honest, design and style are very important to me, and something about the way most electric cars look is just missing the mark. Why do so many electric cars look like that?

While free parking would be a great benefit for driving an electric vehicle, it is not widely available in most cities because it is ultimately too difficult to regulate.
Some airports offer free parking for electric cars, but you will have to research your specific city or destination to know for sure. Also, keep in mind that these kinds of rules and regulations are always subject to change. A few examples include:
- Honolulu, Hawaii at one point offered free parking for electric vehicles but rolled back this service in June of 2020 due to complications.
- Los Angeles International Airport also offered free parking for electric vehicles but has revoked the privilege as it became a point of contention.
- The city ofCincinnatioffers free parking for electric cars, but there are restrictions and interested parties must first submit an application to qualify.
