Do electric cars all use the same charger?

Is there a universal charger for electric cars, or do different brands have different charger shapes? One of my friends is coming to visit me, and she drives an electric car too, but I’m worried that our chargers might not be compatible.

For normal-speed charging (Level 1 and Level 2), all
electric cars
are compatible with the same charger. This means that your friend should be able to charge her car at your house, but it might take a little longer than she’s used to.
Different electric vehicles will use different standards for faster charging (iLevel 3 and beyond), though, so if your friend wants to fill up her battery quickly, she’ll need to find a nearby charging station.
