Do electric car batteries last 15 years?

I’d love to look into getting an electric car, but I’m curious about what the longevity of the rechargeable batteries is like. Could I count on the lithium-ion battery in a new electric car to last 15 years?

In the past few years, the
electric car
industry has exploded, and the technology behind electric car mechanics has grown with it.
The performance of electric batteries has improved massively in just a few years. In a new electric car, you can estimate that with the right care you’ll get about 200,000 miles out of it before it needs replacing. If you’re driving the national average of 14,000 miles per year, that’s over 15 years of usage.
Federal law also mandates that electric car manufacturers keep the battery under warranty for either the first eight years or 100,000 miles. Just like any other car, the key to extending the longevity of your electric car’s battery life is
proper care and maintenance
