Do BMW 5 Series have spare tires?

My son recently bought a new car. I went over to check it out, and I couldn’t find a spare tire. Is that normal? Are BMW 5 Series supposed to have spare tires?

Surprisingly, it is normal. Newer BMW 5 Series do not have spare tires.
Instead of spare tires, BMW equips its cars with run-flat tires. While run-flat tires can’t run indefinitely after a puncture, they’ll last long enough for you to safely drive home or to an auto repair shop. You’ll then need to replace the tire.
