Do accidents go on your driving record?

I got into an accident that wasn’t my fault a couple of weeks ago. I’m not sure how that will affect my record since it wasn’t technically a mistake on my part. Will an accident go on your driving record even if it isn’t your fault?

Even in a
no-fault
situation, car accidents will still go on your driving record. However, you usually won’t get any points on your license for a no-fault accident; the incident will just be recorded.
One thing that will be affected by an accident of any kind, however, is your insurance record. This record is used to determine your insurance rates. If you have more accidents, traffic infractions, or tickets on your record, your insurance premiums will be higher.
