Did the Toyota FJ Cruiser come with a manual transmission?

We’re looking for a Toyota FJ Cruiser to take off-roading, but I’m only finding automatic transmissions. Did the FJ Cruiser come with a manual option?

The
Toyota FJ Cruiser
 did have a manual option for each model year it was produced, from 2007 to 2014. That said, you’ll only find the six-speed manual transmission in some of its 4WD models. Most 4WD models and all of the rear-wheel-drive models came with an automatic transmission.
The Toyota FJ Cruiser was well-reviewed for its off-road handling, but its highway riding left much to be desired with lots of bumps and a loud interior. But if you’re primarily looking for off-road adventure, this quirky-looking midsize SUV is a great choice. Here are a few other comparable models to consider, too:
