Did the Pontiac G6 come with a manual transmission?

I want to buy a used Pontiac—probably a G6—but only if I can find one that’s a stick shift. Does that exist?

A few
Pontiac G6
models came with an optional manual transmission, but not many. In 2006 and partway through 2007, the pricer
Pontiac G6 GTP
trim came standard with a four-speed automatic transmission, but a six-speed manual was optional.
In 2007, Pontiac dropped the six-speed option for the GTP. And if you’re looking for a convertible, you’ll be out of luck—all the G6 convertibles were automatic.
The G6 was produced for the 2005-2010 model years with the following transmission options:
  • 2005: 4-speed automatic
  • 2006: 4- and 5-speed automatic, 6-speed manual
  • 2007: 4- and 5-speed automatic, 6-speed manual
  • 2008: 4- and 5-speed automatic
  • 2009-2010: 4-, 5-, and 6-speed automatic
