Can you wear socks with driving loafers?

I just bought a new pair of driving loafers that I think look good, but my girlfriend makes fun of me for wearing white socks with them. Is it okay to wear socks with driving loafers?

Loafers aren’t just quick and easy shoes to wear when driving, they’re comfortable. Now, while everyone has their own style, white socks might not be the best choice to wear with driving loafers.
Consider alternatives like:
  • Black dress socks: Cheap, comfortable, and easy to find, black dress socks go well with loafers and most other shoes and are a nice improvement to any outfit.
  • Go sockless: Wearing loafers and similar shoes without socks has become a popular look in recent years. Just sprinkle talcum powder inside your loafers periodically to keep them fresh.
  • Wear what you want: Though white socks are not traditionally worn with loafers, any look can be pulled off with enough self-confidence.
Style is a matter of personal preference. So long as you’re comfortable, that’s all that matters. To ensure your comfort and peace of mind while driving, ensure you’re covered by great
