Can you wash car seat covers?

Yes, you should be able to wash your car seat covers! After all, that’s why you bought them, to protect your car’s seats, which don’t fit very well in a washing machine.
However, how you wash your car seat covers depends on the material. Be sure to read the manufacturer’s washing instructions on the label.
Here are some general tips for cleaning seat covers that are machine washable:
- Apply a stain remover to stains. If you have stubborn stains, you may want to let them presoak.
- Secure any ties and remove any metal hooks if you can.
- Experts recommend a short washing cycle with warm water, using mild detergent.
- Finally, avoid putting seat covers in a dryer. You don’t want them to shrink. Let them air dry.
Hopefully, your seat covers will come out looking brand new!
