Can you wash car mats in the washer?
I’m planning on deep cleaning my car this weekend but I’m unsure what to do with my car mats. I live in a seasonal climate, so they’re caked in road salt and dried mud from the winter. I’d like to throw them in the washer but I’m not sure if I can do that. Any idea about whether it’s okay to wash car mats in the washer?

Thankfully you can wash car mats in the washer if they’re caked with dirt, salt, or other debris. Just spray some stain remover beforehand and throw them in the wash with regular detergent.
It’s best to air dry your mats once you’re done. If you want to avoid using your regular washer for car-related cleaning, bring your mats to a laundromat instead!
