Can you use Southwest travel funds for a car rental?

I have a bunch of Southwest travel funds saved, and I want to use them up before they expire. I already booked a flight, but can I use the remaining travel funds for a car rental?

I’m happy to hear you’re trying to use all your Southwest travel funds before they expire, but you cannot use Southwest travel funds for a car rental.
The reason you cannot use Southwest travel funds for a car rental is that only Southwest accepts the travel funds, and a separate company handles the car rental. So, it looks like you may be planning another trip soon!
