My uncle got me a Walmart gift card for my birthday, but I don’t shop there. I need to fill up my car, so can I use it to buy gas instead?

Yes—you can use a Walmart gift card to buy gas! However, you’ll have to pay inside and treat the gift card like cash.
If you have a Walmart gift card, you can use it to buy gas at any of the following locations:
- Walmart
- Murphy USA
- Sam’s Club
- Walmart Neighborhood Market stations
In general, any gas station that accepts VISA will likely accept a Walmart gift card. But be mindful that some Murphy locations no longer accept Walmart gift cards, so call ahead to confirm if you plan to stop by for a fuel-up.
