Can you travel far with hybrid cars?

Is it safe to do a road trip in a hybrid car, or are they mostly made for short-distance travel? I drive a hybrid but I’ve never tried to take it on a long trip before. I’m planning a road trip and trying to decide if I should use my car or rent one.

Yes, you can travel far with a
hybrid car
! Of course, you’ll have to use some gas unless you want to stop every 10 to 50 miles to recharge your car—but you’ll be able to travel for another 300 miles or so using your fuel tank.
However, it’s also important to keep in mind that most hybrid cars will function best at 50 mph or less since they are made mainly for city driving. If you do a lot of highway driving, you’ll probably notice that your car’s fuel economy is lower when you’re driving more quickly with fewer stops.
Regardless of the car you choose for your trip, it’s a good idea to check your insurance policy before you leave to make sure you’re covered. To make things easier, the
