As much as you love them, kids sure know how to get your car dirty! You can either take your car to a service center or do the cleaning and detailing work yourself.
Here are some tips for cleaning the interior if you’re going the DIY route:
Start off by picking up any trash, coins, or obvious debris that could get in the way.
To clean cup holders, slip an old sock over a travel cup and wet it with the cleaner of your choice. Twist it around in the cup holder to pick up grime. Then, you can use a toothpick to scrape out any crust in the corners and wipe it once more with a cloth.
To clean carpeting and cloth seats, use your vacuum’s crevice tool (which is usually flat at the end) to pick up debris. A steam cleaner can help remove stains.
Clean air vents, console, and dash surfaces with a microfiber cloth and ammonia-free spray solution. Use old makeup brushes or paintbrushes to dust tighter areas.
To clean windshields, spray glass cleaner onto a soft cloth.
