Can you switch to sport mode while driving a BMW?

I want to get some higher performance while I’m in my BMW. I read about sport mode, but I’m not sure if I can activate it at will. Can I switch to sport mode in my BMW while driving?

If you want to get the most out of your car, you can definitely switch to sport mode while driving a BMW. All you need to do is move the stick shift to the left while you’re driving. You should see the change that you’re in sport mode denoted by DS on your instrument cluster.
