Can you sell a house without home insurance?

I inherited a house from my grandmother after her death. I'm looking to sell it, but the property has no home insurance. Can I sell the place anyway?

Yes, you can sell a house without having homeowners insurance on it. You are only required to carry homeowners insurance if you have a mortgage on your home and your lender requires that you carry the coverage. Beyond that, it is completely up to you.
