Can you request a female Uber driver?

I take an Uber to and from work as a bartender. Since I get done around 3 a.m., I feel more comfortable if a woman picks me up rather than a man. Can I specifically request a female Uber driver?

Many women feel more comfortable when taking an Uber with a female driver, and understandably so. However, you cannot request a female Uber driver, nor can you request a driver based on age, race, or ethnicity. Your Uber driver is just whoever picks up the fare and is willing to take you to your destination.
However, you should still feel safe, as Uber drivers must pass a background test. Uber also supplies drivers with
