Can you make upgrades to a financed vehicle?

I want to tint the windows and add a sound system to my car, but it's financed.

Can I still make these upgrades?

You may upgrade the car without any problem and don’t have to notify the lender.
Because you own the car, you’re free to make any
modifications
that you wish. As long as you aren’t putting a jet engine in it, you should be fine.
However, you do need to make sure not to invalidate the
terms of your loan
. Check your loan agreement carefully to ensure that your planned modifications will not seriously alter the vehicle’s value and thus affect your financing arrangement.
Consider
sound system insurance
if you’re adding a swanky aftermarket system.
