Can you have driving lessons at age 16?

Am I allowed to start driving lessons if I’m 16? I’m a little old to be learning how to drive, but I was really nervous about it so I put it off for as long as I could. Is it too late for me to enroll in driving classes?

It’s not too late to start taking classes! You can enroll in most driving lessons at age 16. Most states will offer driving lessons for students ages 15, 16, and 17. In some states, you can even take driving lessons at ages 14 or 18.
There are also adult driving classes available at some driving schools. If you reach an age where you aren’t allowed into the
teen
driving classes, you’ll be able to take lessons as an adult instead. However, these classes typically only cover road driving, so you’ll need to learn about road signs and traffic laws on your own to prepare for the written exam.
When you do start learning how to drive, you’ll need car insurance coverage, too. The
