Can you go go-karting without a driving license?
I want to go go-karting at a friend’s birthday. I’m currently 15 years old, and I don’t have a learner’s permit or a driver’s license. Do you need a license for go-karting?

Birthday parties with go-karts? You hit the jackpot! The good news is that you can go go-karting without a driving license. Most go-kart businesses allow you to drive based on your age, not on whether or not you have a license.
However, go-kart centers usually offer multiple classes of go-karts for this very reason. Usually, they have a slower go-kart for individuals under the age of 16, as well as faster go-karts for licensed drivers.
The best plan is to call the go-kart company ahead of time to get specifics. Ask what documents (if any) are required or if you need permission to drive the go-karts. In most cases, your parent or legal guardian will be required to sign a waiver in order for you to get behind the wheel if you’re a minor.
