Can you get vertigo from driving long distances?

I love taking road trips, but sometimes I find that I feel a bit dizzy after long stints behind the wheel. After some research, I found that it might be vertigo. But can you actually get vertigo from driving?

While little research has been done on the topic, you can get vertigo from driving long distances. The reason that you’re susceptible to vertigo is due to:
  • Repeated, irregular motions
  • Objects passing by while you drive, which can disorient you
  • Certain repeated head motions
If you find that you’re getting vertigo when you’re driving long distances, the only true solution is to break up your drive into shorter sections. By doing so, you can stretch, get some fresh air, and prevent vertigo from happening. As an additional precaution, take an antihistamine such as Dramamine to prevent vertigo from occurring.
Since you’re taking the time to research vertigo and its effects on drivers, why not take the same amount of time to save hundreds on your car insurance with the
