Can you cash a ripped check?

I ripped up a bunch of old papers on my desk last night and I realized that there was a check that I hadn’t cashed in there. It isn’t ripped into many pieces but it certainly is ripped. Can you cash a ripped check?

It’s always frustrating to realize that you’ve left money laying around. Luckily, if the check is not too badly damaged and can be pieced back together, you should be able to successfully deposit it through your bank’s mobile deposit system.
You’ll want to lay the check pieces down on a flat surface and properly align them. Do not use glue or tape to stick the pieces together as it could interfere with the camera’s ability to scan the check.
Once you’ve submitted the photos, all you can do is wait for your bank to verify the deposit. While you wait, check out the
