Can you buy a Mercedes warranty on a used car?
I’m thinking of purchasing a 2019 Mercedes from a private seller. It’s a good deal, but it has 40,000. The seller told me that it’s still under warranty for now, and I am debating on whether to purchase an extended warranty for it to be on the safe side. Is it possible to buy a Mercedes warranty on a used car?

You can buy a

warranty on a used car as long as the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has not expired. Mercedes’ New Vehicle Limited Warranty applies to all vehicles for the first 48 months or 50,000 miles and covers mechanical or workmanship defects. The Extended Limited Warranty will add up to 60, 72, or 84 months from the start date of the New Vehicle Warranty, or up to 75,000, or 1000,000 total miles. You’ll get to choose which duration best suits your needs.
If you purchase a Certified Pre-owned
Mercedes-Benz
, a Pre-owned Limited Warranty automatically applies to the vehicle, and covers it for an additional 12 months after the New Vehicle Limited Warranty ends or until the car reaches 100,000 miles. When you are under warranty, all warranty-covered repairs must be done at an *authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership.
