Can the battery die in a Honda car key?

How do I replace the battery in a key fob? I have a 2008 Honda Civic and the clicker for unlocking the doors isn't working anymore. Does that mean it's run out of battery?

“If you have a remote on your car keys, it can run out of battery.
If this happens, you have the option to replace the battery yourself. All you need to do is open the fob, pinpoint the battery type, and replace it.
A reliable automotive locksmith may also be able to perform this service for you for a small fee.
Additionally, you can check with a Honda
dealer
to see if they’re able to replace it. However, since your vehicle is 13 years old, the dealership may not carry the parts you need.”
