Can someone else drive my Zipcar?

Can my friend drive my Zipcar? I'm a member, but she isn't. She only needs to borrow it once.

“While it may only be one time, you shouldn’t let your friend borrow a Zipcar under your membership. Doing so puts you in a risky situation with the company, especially if she gets into an accident without
car insurance
.
Although Zipcar does provide
liability coverage
and a damage waiver, coverage only applies to active members. If she isn’t an associate member on your Zipcar membership, she’s excluded from coverage.
If she does need a car, consider helping her. You can reserve and drive the Zipcar to help her with whatever she needs. You could also see if you could add her as an associate member or if there’s a referral or discount code to give your friend. She may be able to join for a lower rate, allowing her to reserve a car herself.
