I'm about to move into an apartment that will be shared with a roommate. Can we split renters insurance?

Roommates can split renters insurance as long as both people are listed on the policy as a named insured. If there are residents living in the home but not listed on the policy, they may not be covered under the renters insurance if there is ever a loss or a claim made.

Does bodily injury cover injuries in a car accident when there's no medical payment coverage?
"My daughter crashed her vehicle with a friend in the car. They both sustained injuries, but I did not have medical payments coverage on the policy at the time of the accident. When we submitted a claim for the medical bills for both my daughter and her friend, our insurance company denied the claim. Shouldn't my bodily injury liability cover the injuries?"
