Can Non-Tesla Electric Vehicles Use Tesla Charging Stations?
I recently switched over to an electric car that’s not a Tesla. In my community, most of the charging stations I’ve seen are by Tesla, and I wasn’t sure if they would be compatible with my vehicle. Can other electric cars use Tesla chargers?

Congratulations on your switch, and great question! Fortunately yes, Tesla is developing a way to make its supercharger stations available for all-electric vehicles, but so far, it’s only in select countries.
Up until recently, Tesla superchargers were exclusive to Tesla car owners and, in most places, this is still the case. In November 2021, Tesla launched its pilot program in the Netherlands and has so far expanded it to France and Norway. When beta testing is over, the company wants to continue to expand it worldwide.
Through the Tesla app (version 4.2.3 or higher), non-Tesla electric car drivers can select the “non-Tesla” option and pay through the app. However, the cost to charge your vehicle may be slightly more than the price Tesla drivers pay.
