Can I upgrade my Tesla Model X’s battery?
I have a Tesla Model X but I would like the battery to last even longer. Can I invest in an upgraded version?

Tesla batteries, including the battery in the Model X, can be upgraded via software updates to last longer. If that still doesn’t offer enough juice, you have to purchase a new battery.
Keep in mind that, like everything else related to Tesla ownership, purchasing an upgraded Tesla battery is not a cheap endeavor. The most basic Tesla battery costs between $13,000 and $14,000. Thus, it might be more cost-effective to simply trade in your Model X for a newer version.
The Model X was refreshed for the 2021 model year and equipped with higher battery energy density and more powerful motors. If you have a Model X that’s a few years old, swapping it out for the newest version would come with a significant battery upgrade!
The 2022 Model X Long Range has a maximum range of 348 miles, which is among the highest in the industry. The Model X Plaid trades some range for power, with three engines, 1,020 horsepower, and a 333-mile range.
