I'm moving from Louisiana to Florida. Can I transfer my car loan to my new state?

“You usually can, but you should check your loan contract to see if transferring a loan across state lines is prohibited. There can also be issues with getting the car registered in the new state due to varying insurance requirements, so be prepared for potential changes to your policy rate and coverage. You may even have to switch to a different insurer.“
