Can I renew my driver’s license online in Idaho?

I’ve never renewed my driver’s license online before, but I understand that this is now the go-to method for drivers in my home state of Idaho. I would love to give online renewal a try, but I’m worried that it’ll be confusing and I might end up having to go to the DMV anyway. So I’m curious, how do I know if I can complete my driver’s license renewal online in Idaho?

We get it, doing official things online can be daunting at times. You can
renew your driver’s license
online in
Idaho
as long as you meet the following requirements:
  • You’re renewing a four-year license.
  • You haven’t renewed your license in the last four years.
  • You’re a US citizen or permanent resident.
  • You’re between the age of 21 and 69.
  • You’re renewing a Class D license.
  • Your license is in good standing and has not expired.
  • Your name has not changed.
  • You are not applying for an endorsement—such as REAL ID.
After you complete the online renewal process you’ll receive your new
driver’s license
in the mail—it takes between 12 and 14 business days to arrive.
