Can I register a car in Florida with an out-of-state license?

My state license is still in New York, but I've moved to Florida and want to get my car registered here. Can I still get insurance?

“Good question! In Florida, you need to get a state drivers license before you are able to register your car within the state.
You’ll also need to purchase car insurance that meets the state minimum car insurance requirements.
