Can I put my 2-Door Chevy Tahoe on 28s?

My friend is selling some awesome 28-inch wheels and I’m thinking of buying them for my 2-door Chevy Tahoe. Could I put a 2-door Tahoe on 28s?

Great question! Increasing your wheel size is always tricky business, and it’s good to ask first! Unfortunately, no—you cannot put 28s on a 2-door
Chevy
Tahoe.
The 2-door Tahoe is compatible with 18”, 19”, 20”, 21”, and 22” wheels. So, you’ll want to stick to those sizes. You’ve probably seen Tahoe owners put larger sizes on their rides, but it’s not a good idea.
While wheels up to 31-inches will technically fit a Tahoe, going over 22 inches will result in handling issues, including limited turn radius and tire rubbing.
If you’re determined to use the 28s, you’ll need to lift the car at least four inches first.
You should also keep in mind that significant modifications such as lifting may cause your [car insurance](
