Can I not pass the driving test due to nerves?

My 16th birthday is only a couple of weeks away. I’ve been studying and practicing as much as I can to prepare. But, what if I’m too nervous to pass my driving test?

Getting your driver’s license is a huge step in your life, so it’s totally natural to be nervous. You can’t fail the driver’s test on nerves alone. It’s normal to have your nerves heightened during the driving test. It simply means that you care about your safety. Passing your driver’s test is all about being prepared and remaining calm.
Here are a couple of ways to calm your nerves during the driver’s test:
  • Trust your instructor. They want you to pass, so listen to their advice.
  • Take a mock test. Practice makes perfect!
  • Try breathing exercises. Taking slow, deep breaths can help you feel more relaxed.
  • Eat a healthy meal and avoid caffeine. Your diet has a significant effect on your ability to focus
  • Ignore the stories. Most of the horror stories you hear are exaggerated
